Nigeria’s efforts to unlock the economic potential of its mineral resources are set to receive a boost following a new partnership between the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
The two organisations have signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement aimed at increasing private-sector participation in Nigeria Mining Week 2026, scheduled for October 12–14 at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
The partnership is expected to bring together a wider section of Nigeria’s business community, policymakers, investors and mining stakeholders to explore opportunities in mineral development, investment, value addition and job creation.
Under the agreement, NACCIMA will mobilise its network of chambers of commerce and business associations across the country to participate in the annual mining event.
It will also coordinate a dedicated NACCIMA Pavilion, where member companies will showcase their businesses, products, services, projects and innovations while engaging potential investors, government representatives and players across the mining value chain.
MAN National President Dele Ayanleke said stronger collaboration between the mining industry, government, investors and the wider business community would be critical to unlocking the sector’s potential.
“The partnership creates an important bridge to Nigerian enterprises across the mining value chain,” Ayanleke said, adding that the association expects the NACCIMA Pavilion to facilitate meaningful business connections and investment opportunities during the event.
NACCIMA National President Engr. (Dr.)c said Nigeria’s mining industry offered significant opportunities for enterprise development, value addition, employment and economic diversification.
He said NACCIMA would mobilise its members and affiliated chambers to participate in the mining week and showcase the capacity and investment potential of Nigerian businesses.
The partnership comes as Nigeria seeks to expand the contribution of mining to its economy and reduce dependence on traditional sources of revenue.

The collaboration will also provide a platform for businesses to engage in discussions around mining-sector development, investment promotion and opportunities for local participation across the mineral value chain.
Nigeria Mining Week is organised by MAN in partnership with PwC Nigeria and the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
The annual event brings together government officials, mining companies, investors, development partners, service providers and other industry stakeholders to discuss policies, investment opportunities and the sustainable development of Nigeria’s mining sector.
