Liquid C2, KnowBe4 Partner to Strengthen Business Risk Management Across Africa

Liquid C2, a business of Cassava Technologies, has partnered with KnowBe4, a global digital workforce security provider, to expand access to cybersecurity training and workforce risk management solutions for enterprises across Africa.

The reseller agreement will integrate KnowBe4’s security awareness and risk management capabilities into Liquid C2’s Secure360 portfolio, enabling organisations to address employee-related vulnerabilities alongside conventional technology-based security measures.

The partnership comes as businesses across the continent increasingly rely on digital platforms to deliver services, manage transactions and store sensitive information. While digitalisation creates opportunities for growth, it also exposes organisations to cyberattacks that can disrupt operations, compromise customer data and undermine business confidence.

For African companies, effective cybersecurity is therefore becoming a business risk management priority, with implications for operational continuity, regulatory compliance, financial performance and reputation.

“At Liquid C2, we understand that employees are the first and best line of defence from cybersecurity attacks for any organisation. They are the foundation of a digitally resilient organisation,” said Vinay Hiralall, Chief Commercial Officer at Liquid C2.

He said the partnership would strengthen the human element of cybersecurity by equipping employees with the skills and awareness needed to identify threats before they escalate.

“Cybersecurity is no longer just a compliance exercise; it is a business continuity imperative. Our partnership will ensure our customers have access to global cybersecurity training and an experience customised for staff at all levels of client organisations,” Hiralall added.

Managing the human factor in cyber risk

KnowBe4’s solutions will add continuous security awareness training, phishing simulations and workforce risk management capabilities to Liquid C2’s Secure360 framework, which covers governance, protection, detection and response.

The integrated offering is designed to help organisations identify weaknesses in employee behaviour, test their preparedness against simulated attacks and build security-conscious workplace cultures.

Phishing remains a significant concern for businesses because attackers frequently exploit trust, urgency and human error to gain access to corporate systems. Training employees to recognise suspicious communications and follow secure procedures can help reduce exposure, although it must complement technical safeguards such as access controls, monitoring and incident response.

The platform also includes email and collaboration security, attack simulation and training, as well as agent security supported by KnowBe4’s Artificial Intelligence Defence Agents (AIDA).

As companies explore the use of artificial intelligence in business operations, managing risks associated with AI-enabled tools and agents is becoming an additional consideration for corporate security teams.

Kurt Mills, Senior Vice President of Global Channel at KnowBe4, said the partnership would extend the company’s platform to more organisations across Africa.

“By integrating KnowBe4’s high-quality, world-class platform with our existing security services, we can now deliver comprehensive protection that combines technological safeguards with digital workforce security,” Mills said.

He added that the collaboration was intended to help customers develop security-conscious cultures and reduce risks associated with both employees and AI agents.

Focus on regulated industries

The offering will target small, medium-sized, and large enterprises across Africa, with particular relevance to regulated sectors such as financial services, telecommunications and government, where protecting sensitive information and maintaining reliable systems are critical.

Customers will have access to local billing, regional support, onboarding and compliance assistance tailored to their industry requirements.

These services could help organisations integrate workforce security into broader enterprise risk management strategies rather than treating cybersecurity as a standalone technical function.

The solutions will also be bundled with Liquid C2’s managed cybersecurity services and made available through its Governance, Risk and Compliance offering, allowing customers to incorporate workforce protection into existing security arrangements.

For African businesses, the commercial value of such investments will ultimately depend on whether organisations can translate training and monitoring into measurable reductions in cyber incidents, downtime and financial losses.

As digital economies expand, businesses will need to balance technology adoption with stronger governance, employee awareness and accountability. The Liquid C2–KnowBe4 partnership seeks to address that challenge by combining cybersecurity technology with measures designed to reduce risks arising from human behaviour and emerging AI applications.
